傅瑩，現任中國外交部副部長，2003年至2009年間，先後任中國駐澳洲和英國大使，在西方被認為是有巨大影響力的外交官之一。本書是她擔任駐兩國大使期間所作的重要演講，聽眾均是西方政商學界的有影響力人士，內容圍饒如何了解當代中國、中國是一個什麼樣的國家、金融危機下的中國與西方的關係等。

作者簡介

蒙古族，現任中國外交部副部長。曾任中國駐菲律賓、澳洲、英國大使。1977年畢業於北京外國語學院（今北京外國語大學）。1986年畢業於英國肯定大學（University of Kent），獲碩士學位。

傅瑩大使一直致力於把中國介紹給全世界，並向世界敞開中國的大門。她樂於與別國交流並向別國學習，同時亦清晰地意識到，其他國家也可以從中國那裏獲益良多。
